Family Pics 2009

Image
Well, we were finally able to go and get a new family picture done. We haven't haven't had a new picture since Seth was just a few weeks old. We decided to do a casual picture this time round. I have to tip my hat to Del and the older boys for being such troopers. We went to Kiddie Kandids, where I normally do the little kids pics. It was a smaller sitting area so those long legs got a little cramped. The pictures turned out cute though. Seth would not smile to save his life. He just did a cute little pucker. When we were finished, he finally decided that he was going to smile and laugh. Little turkey!! After pictures, we headed over to Marie Callendars. Adam turned 17 yesterday and we have a tradition that the birthday person gets to pick a place they want to go for dinner. We had a lot of fun despite the rain. When I left for work, Del and the boys were braking out the Wii and getting ready for a night of fun. I am bummed that I missed it. Del called me around 1

Why, Why, Why

I saw this on my friend Rick's Blog and couldn't resist adding it to my own. I had a pretty good chuckle....Enjoy! Why, Why, Why, Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are almost dead? Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they already know there is not enough money? Why does someone Believe you when you say there are four billion stars; but have to check when you say the paint is still wet? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him? Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'? If people evolved from apes, Why are there still apes? Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white? Is there ever a day that mattresses Are not on sale? Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Age of Technology

I am so excited.....tonight I have come to a new area of wonderful technology. I am now writing this segment of my blog on my wonderful new laptop!!! Del and I have been pricing, comparing, discussing, talking ourselves out of, pricing, comparing....you get the picture. We finally decided today that I get my laptop. It is a Dell Studio 1537. I am mainly going to be using it for school but am excited to find that I can go wireless at work. It has been so much fun. I already bugged the help desk at work. I told them that I was sorry to bug them with my personal computer stuff but wanted to make sure that I was doing things right. The guy was so awesome and didn't mind helping me one bit. Woohoo.....we'll see how things go. Our little family also decided to get a new Wii system. I am excited because I splurged and got the Wii Fit. We'll see how "fit" I get. Josh and Adam started this craziness when they mentioned purchasing a Wii together with their cousi

Catching up with Friends.....

Image
We had so much fun on New Years Day catching up with old friends. Jen and I were able to keep in touch with a few of the missionaries who served in Ohio my senior year of high school. I think they were really influential in helping Jennifer to serve a mission. It's been about 9 years since they we were all together (mine and Del's wedding). We have all agreed that it will not take 9 years to get us all together again!! Our little group..Jason & Shari Ott, Cretia & John Tinsley, Jennifer & Paul Dunn, Kim & Delwyn Price and Scott Lazerson Kim & Scott Lazerson Shari & Jason Ott John & Cretia Tinsley Another cool thing, I don't have a picture but my friend Scott Black, who also served in Columbus Ohio Mission, and his wife Shawna were able to attend Zoe's baptism. He and I are more like brother and sister than we are friends. He and his companion, Charlie Lynch, really helped me get reactive when I was married before. I love them both to d

Zoe's Baptism

Isn't my girl beautiful :) Zoe with Del Zoe and Daddy My how they grow. I can't believe my little Zoe has been baptised! It seems like she is still too little to be 8. Our day started off really great. Since Aunt Jen and family had another niece getting baptised that morning, we were able to schedule Zoe's for 1pm. it was nice to be able to relax in the morning and let everyone take their time getting ready. We were very fortunate enough to have so many family and friends join us for Zoe's special day. I know that my nephew Jake and my Dad were both there. What a wonderful feeling to know that Heavenly Father allows those that are with him to visit us every now and again.

At long last....

I just thought I would pop on here and just express how much I feel loved and blessed. This has been such an awesome week and a half. I think mostly because of how much of my side of the family from out of state has been able to be here as well as having some great experiences on Christmas Eve when I was working alone and then also during Zoe's baptism. Christmas Eve was awesome. I wasn't exactly looking forward to working but when I got there and started settling in I opened a few emails from the girls at work. There was one by Josh Groban singing Silent Night as a slideshow of the Saviors birth was presented. Needless to say, I cried like a baby. The next was similar, the A/V guys at work sent out an electronic Christmas card to everyone. It was so cool to feel the spirit so strongly and to get to reflect on the true reason for the season. I did do some gift wrapping but also just really enjoyed listening to my Christmas music. I'll do a seperate posting on Zoe&
