Interesting

I was just looking in the newspaper from back home (Ohio) and found an article that one of my cousins wrote about the casinos that they were putting on the ballot on 11/4. (No, they didn't pass) He was expressing his opinions as a guest writer in the paper. The last sentence struck me as we are dealing with all sorts of issues in our society lately. I thought it very good and wanted to share. "To fail to engage your faith on the issues that affect our society is to admit that faith is irrelevant. History has proven otherwise." Thanks Steve Collett. (link to complete article: http://www.wnewsj.com/main.asp?Search=1&ArticleID=168771&SectionID=42&SubSectionID=&S=1)

Thanks for sharing this Kim. I agree with the statement. It is getting increasingly more important to stand strong and firm in our faith and not compromise in the face of social or political pressure.
